A type rating is required for any aircraft that requires two or more pilots to operate, has a maximum takeoff weight of more than 12,500 lbs, and has a maximum certificated passenger seating capacity of more than 10. What Type of Rating is Required for The King Air 350?
The type rating required for the King Air 350 is the BE-300. To be eligible for the type rating, you must have a valid private or commercial pilot certificate with an airplane category and instrument rating. You must also have a multi-engine land rating and have completed a pilot-in-command proficiency check within the previous 12 months in an aircraft that is type certificated for more than one required pilot flight crewmember or is turbojet-powered.

This four-day course includes 12 hours of aircraft ground training, 6 hours of briefing, and 6 hours of flight training. Upon completion, you will be able to operate the King Air 350 in accordance with all applicable regulations and receive a BE-300 Type Rating and an Airline Transport Certificate.
