This course is designed to prepare the pilot for the transition to a new aircraft. The aircrafts systems are covered in the classroom and then practiced in the simulator. Upon completion the pilot is ready SOE in the aircraft (supervised operating experience). Course also meets the requirements of aviation insurance companies' Initial training, and requirement for IFR Recent experience 61.57(c)in make and model aircraft.
I am the owner of a Piper Navjao and have recently been approved by insurance company to fly solo PIC once I complete an FAA approved initial traning course like yours. When do the clases run, what do I need to brush up on before?
Thanks for your question. What exactly do you mean by “Chieftain rating?” The Navajo Chieftain requires no special rating except you must be multi engine rated to fly the plane legally. Please call RTC at 800 727 1014 and we will be happy to discuss this with you.
