Dear Richard,

RTC is open for training 7 days a week and all training is one on one which means class starts when you get here.

Call 800 727 1014 to schedule training. As long as we have simulator availability, you may come whenever you wish.
Sometimes you can get in right away, sometimes 2 to 3 weeks notice is needed.

We look forward to working with you.

Dear Charles,

The 3 1/2 day Twin Cessna Initial is $2199 and the 2 1/2 day Twin Cessna Recurrent is $1699.

RTC is located in East Central Illinois, Champaign/Urbana. American Airlines current flies in and out of KCMI, which is about 1 mile south of RTC.

Some pilots prefer to fly into BMI (Bloomington, IL) or Indianapolis or Chicago. Bloomington is a 1 hour by car, Chicago and Indianapolis are 2 hours by car.

Please call us at 800 727 1014 for further information or to schedule training.

I am currently getting a 1972 B 58 worked up and upgraded. I have about 1700 hours in a 55 which crashed in november. When I have completed the 58 I will have an ASPEN PFD 1000 and a Garmin GTN 750 plus some other stuff with a KFC 200AP
Ihave been flying about 100 hours a year but I have an insurance company requirement for annual Instrument Competency Checks now. (not from the crasI wasn't flying the airplane.)
I had the Simcom Initial about 20 years ago and it does not appear as if they have changed their sim in that time

1. What sort of sim do you use? Any motion or just visual
2. If I bring along my flight instructor/alternate pilot what is the cost for a second pilot at the same time. I know you use a single seat trainer or so says your website. Any chance to double up like we did with Simcom?
3 How far in advance do we have to book to get a session around the beginning of March??

I've owned my 58P for about 17 years and have done SimCom annually with the last 10 years or so as a 2 day refresher. Probably have nearly 3,000 hours in the same airplane and am currently flying 200-300 hours a year out of PA.

Your course would be very convenient for me but I'd like to squeeze it into two days over a Sat-Sun weekend. Possible?

Finished SimCom in Octo

First, if you are in a twin, your natural reaction might be to assume it was a single engine failure and go to the throttles preparing to counter the roll with reduction in thrust - slowing down is a good idea, unless you are already slow in approach configuration lest ye stall. If the one flap condition happens after the flaps are down and is a result of an abrupt break of cables (you may hear this in a small twin) - the roll can be abrupt and upset the attitude of the airplane significantly. Correcting is best done by countering with aileron roll to prevent inverting the aircraft, and then by raising the flaps. If landing, go around, re-figure landing distance and land without flaps. If the flaps won't move from their mismatched condition you may need to use rudder and possibly some measured counter-thrust from one motor, because you will experience a yaw that you must compensate for on decent. You should not have too strong a yaw on landing as the asymmetrical drag should be reduced upon slowing to landing speed just before touchdown.
