RTC was founded in 1988 by then air traffic controller John Killeen.  Killeen saw how simulator training helped reduce accidents for the airlines.  He became convinced it could do the same thing for general aviation.  He was so convinced in fact that he bought a simulator and RTC was born.

When Killeen started, RTC had one simulator and employed two instructors.  Its focus on piston powered aircraft was a hit with general aviation.  It wasn’t long before RTC’s staff, and fleet grew.

Today, RTC boasts eleven instructors, eight simulators, and FAA 61, 141, and 142 approval.  RTC is also approved by all of the major insurance companies.
